Important Update on US Orders
Share
Due to new legislation which was recently signed off by the US Government regarding import tariffs for small value orders, I will sadly no long be able to offer shipping to the US for the foreseeable future.
Under an executive order signed by President Donald Trump, parcels valued at or under $800 sent to the U.S. outside of the international postal network will now face "all applicable duties" starting on August 29, the White House has said.
What this means is that if a customer in the US would like to order something, for example a £3 greetings card, they will also be liable to pay anywhere between $80-$200 on top of the cost of their order and p&p, just to comply with these new US import tariffs. As I'm sure you can appreciate, this is simply untenable.
It's a very confusing and upsetting situation, and I'm deeply sorry to disappoint my customers across the US, whom I've enjoyed creating work for over the last 15 years.
I'm attending a webinar this week by The Design Trust, a highly experienced and trusted source when it comes to small business advice and training, and I will be closely monitoring the situation going forward.
