Marchmont Shop Closure

My lovely little Marchmont shop has now closed its doors after three busy years.

It’s been a genuinely brilliant experience becoming part of the local community and meeting so many great people; lots of whom have become good friends.  In many ways, the shop has been responsible for my business growing as much as it has.  I'm proud to say that over 30 fantastic independent shops, museums and galleries around the UK (and one all the way up in Iceland!) now stock my products.  As much as I like to think I can do everything (!), I know that to carry on growing my business, something has to change, and that something (for the timbeing) is my bricks and mortar shop.

My online shop will carry on as usual, and I’ll still be taking part in markets, trade fairs and selling events.  Moving on from the shop will mean I can devote more time to creative work (yay!) and getting orders out to customers and stockists more quickly (double yay!).  I hope to spend time teaching again, and - dare I say - a little me time would be quite nice, too. I'm sad to leave Marchmont, but I also feel really positive about moving into a new chapter.
